Property development firm Elan Homes is ready to begin working on a major housing project in Cheshire.
It is the latest of the company’s successful ventures of 2013. It will also free up a number of opportunities for manual labourers, such as Cheshire joiners who will have a longer list of potential customers once the homes are occupied.
The firm, based in Ellesmere Port, says that it has sold all of its properties in four different locations this year – Nantwich’s Waters Edge, The Maples in Crewe, Chester’s Riverside at the Racecourse, and Cedars View in Mickle Trafford.
Elan Homes has a number of other projects it is currently working on, including Gosing Park near Warrington, and Forest Rise, which is in Mouldsworth.
The firm is also planning to begin work at Farndon’s Fern Lea, a site that stretches over three and a half acres.
Richard Dean, Director of Land Acquisition at the company, said:
“We’re continually looking for land with development potential and this latest site offers the perfect opportunity to provide sustainable, high quality family housing in the desirable village location of Farndon.
“We have planning permission to build 32 homes and will be starting work on site very soon.”
Dean went on to say that Farndon is an exciting area and with the development of new houses, the company has committed itself to making significant contributions to the community. He named some of these as helping local education, providing more bus stops, taking steps to calm traffic, making improvements to play areas, and supplying affordable homes.
